What say the press to Desk Marker:

{Screen highlighter} As a computer technician, I am always drawing up instructions and taking screenshots to help explain how to fix a problem or configure a new system. Word has a neat ability to allow you to highlight text, but what if I need to highlight something on the screenshot or on the screen during a video conference? Well, here is where DeskMarker comes in handy. Think of DeskMarker as a virtual pen or highlighter that is activated by pressing down a set of hotkeys (that you can configure). You can change the color, size, and transparency of the pen tool. This allows you to write comments one second and highlight information the next second. DeskMarker was made for trainers and presenters to be able to emphasis information on the screen. This program is free for commercial use, and will allow you to switch the language of the program between English and German, depending on your speaking preference. For the English speakers out there, when DeskMarker says "strg" what it means in the Ctrl key. The only bad thing about this program is that you have to clear the screen if you make a mistake - you can't just hold down an erase key and undo a small portion. If that is my only complaint on a free application then I think DeskMarker is doing a good job. So don't just sit there! Go and check it out. [Brian]

Qui n’a jamais voulu dessiner sur son écran pour expliquer quelque chose à son collègue ou pour préparer une copie d’écran? Nous sommes suffisamment nombreux pour Delight Software, une société suisse qui a conçu Desk Marker. Enfantin à l’utilisation, il suffit de presser une combinaison de touches (que vous définissez vous-même) pour transformer le pointeur de votre souris en crayon de couleur. Vous pouvez modifier la taille de la «pointe» et sa couleur. Le trait peut être solide ou en transparence, pour éviter de cacher un élément important, par exemple. Autre idée géniale: un deuxième mode permet de mettre en surbrillance un menu déroulant ou un bouton automatiquement sur une page Web. Le menu déroulant, par exemple, est «entouré» ou rempli de la couleur choisie du crayon, et cela sans peine.
